Pairs Well With
Two Christmas tree skirts in one, and both of them dressed for Christmas dinner. Our black toile and cherry red reversible ruffled Christmas tree skirt is cut and sewn by hand in our Alabama studio from 100% cotton: classic black-on-white toile on one side, a true Christmas red on the other, and a full, deeply gathered toile ruffle all the way around.
The ruffle is cut wide and folded, so it shows black toile no matter which side faces up. Lay it red side up for a traditional red-and-green tree, or flip it to toile for a black, white and red Christmas that looks straight out of an old Southern dining room. Four pairs of long red ties close the center opening and finish the front in a row of big red bows. Red and black toile has never gone out of style, and this year it's everywhere.
Details:
- Fully reversible: Christmas red on one side, black and white toile on the other
- Full, gathered black toile ruffle, cut wide and folded so the toile shows on both sides
- Four pairs of long red cotton ties close the opening and tie into bows, one more pair than our other tree skirts
- Approximately 50" finished diameter, ruffle included
- 100% cotton
Good to Know:
- The toile is the same black toile as our Black Toile Large Crib Bow and our toile chair slipcovers, so the tree, the wreath and the dining chairs can all match
- Reversible means two looks from one skirt: red one year, toile the next, or switch it halfway through December
- The bows are the closure. Untie them to slip the skirt around the trunk, then tie them back up at the front
- Sometimes called a toile tree skirt, a French country tree skirt or a grandmillennial Christmas tree skirt
- Machine wash cold, tumble dry low
Coordinates With:
- Black Toile Large Crib Bow, the same toile in a big sash bow for the wreath, the tree top or the dining chairs
- Tailored Chair Seat Slipcovers in black toile, for a Christmas table that matches the tree
- Farmhouse Ruffled Chair Slipcovers in black toile, ruffled to match the skirt
- White Farmhouse Ruffled Christmas Stockings, fully lined, with a ruffled cuff that picks up the toile's white ground
Personalize It: Add initials, a name or two names, stitched near the front opening of the skirt. Turn on Personalization above to choose your font and thread color.
Made to Order: Sewn when you order, in our Alabama studio.
A standard crib mattress is 28" × 52", and our pieces are cut to match it — 52" long rail covers, 28" short rail covers, and fitted sheets sized to that mattress. If your crib takes a standard mattress, no measuring is needed.
Crib skirt drops — farmhouse skirts are 20", ruffled skirts are 22". To find your drop, measure from just under the mattress support straight down toward the floor. Want a shorter drop? Tap Add a special request under the Add to Cart button, tell us your measurement, and we'll make it to that at no extra charge.
Rail cover drape — approximately 20" down each side of the rail, inside and out.
Mini cribs — sheets fit a 24" × 38" mattress, and most pieces can be made in mini sizing on request. Shop mini crib bedding →
Antique, imported, or non-standard crib? Send us your measurements — everything is cut to order.
Every piece is made from 100% cotton sourced from American mills — no synthetic blends, no flame-retardant treatments, no chemical finishes.
Pre-washed before we cut. Every yard is washed and dried in our studio before a single piece is cut, so your bedding arrives already soft and won't shrink on you at home. That relaxed, lived-in texture is the washed cotton at work — and it irons or steams to a crisp finish if you prefer that look.
Washing — machine wash cold on gentle, separately. Skip bleach and fabric softener; both break down natural cotton over time.
Drying — tumble dry on medium, separately. A quick toss in the dryer is the easiest way to release wrinkles between uses.
Ironing — optional, on medium heat. Avoid starch sprays. A handheld steamer works well too.
Every piece is sewn to order in our Alabama studio, so nearly every detail can be changed.
Color changes — swap any color on any product: ruffles, cording, accents, bows, ties, or the body of the piece itself. Mix and match across a set however you like. Color and fabric changes are always free of charge.
Monograms and personalization — add initials, a name, or a meaningful date, with your choice of font and thread color. $30 per piece.
Style and sizing — prefer a tailored look without ruffles? Need mini crib sizing? Both are available on request.
