Scalloped Crib Rail Covers — Curved Edge, Made in Alabama
A scalloped crib rail cover gives you the shape of a ruffle without the volume — a softly curved edge, usually in a contrast color, that reads finished rather than frilly. Each one is cut and sewn by hand in our Alabama studio from 100% washed cotton, softly filled with quilt batting, and finished with fabric ties. Two-tone colorways are our specialty here. Optional monogram embroidery, and free shipping on every order.
Why families choose scalloped:
- A curved, bound edge — structured where a ruffle is soft
- Beautiful in two tones, with the scallop cut in a contrast color
- 100% washed cotton over quilt batting for fullness and structure
- Fabric ties that hold through daily use and washing
- Available as a long side, a short side, or full-crib coverage
- Optional monogram embroidery on the front panel
Rail covers vs. crib bumpers: they are not the same thing. Padded bumpers lined the inside of the crib and are no longer recommended. A rail cover rests on the outside, over the top rail, where your baby chews — it does not go inside the crib, and does not cover the sides, slats or ends. Buying more than one piece? Our Crib Rail Cover & Skirt Sets pair the cover with a matching skirt cut from the same bolt — which matters more on a two-tone scallop than on anything else we make, because the contrast color has to agree across both pieces.
