Twin or toddler? Start here. This is the question we get most, and the two are not the same size. A toddler bed reuses the crib mattress you already have — roughly 28" x 52" — so bedding sold as toddler bedding is crib-sized. A twin bed uses a twin mattress, roughly 38" x 75". Everything on this page is twin. If your child went straight from the crib into a twin bed, you are in the right place. If they are in a toddler bed still using the crib mattress, our Crib Skirts are the size you need.
What drop length do you need? Measure from the top of your box spring straight down to the floor. Most twin beds measure around 16 inches, which is why 16" is our standard drop on every skirt on this page — ruffled and farmhouse alike. If your bed measures differently, leave your measurement in the note field at checkout and we will cut it to fit at no extra charge. Low platform beds, captain's beds and trundles usually want a shorter drop; an antique iron bed or anything on risers usually wants a longer one. And if you want the skirt to pool softly on the floor rather than stop neatly at it, ask for a 20" or 22" drop in the same note. A twin bed skirt is also called a twin bedskirt or a twin dust ruffle; it is the same piece.
Standard sham or euro sham? A standard pillow sham is 26" x 20" and fits the pillow your child actually sleeps on. A euro sham is 26" x 26", square, and sits upright behind it. A twin bed usually takes one standard sham; add a euro if you want the layered look. Both close with a zipper, and pillow inserts are not included — browse them all in Pillow Shams.
