A Note from Lauren
Our shop has always been a custom shop.
When I started High Cotton Textile, my goal was simple: to sew heirloom-quality nursery bedding the way it used to be made — by hand, with care, and tailored to each family.
That tradition is still at the heart of what we do today. Every crib skirt, rail cover, bow, and sheet you see on our site is sewn to order in our small Alabama workroom. And because each piece is made just for you, we're able to customize nearly everything about it.
Want the rail cover in baby pink and the bows in heirloom blue? Of course. Want your daughter's initials embroidered on a crib bow? Send them over. Want the ruffled crib skirt in our farmhouse style without the ruffles? Done.
If you can dream it, there's a good chance we can make it. This page walks you through what's possible.

What you can customize.
Every detail of every piece, from color to construction. Here's a quick overview of the most-requested options.

Color changes on any pieceSwap any color on any product — ruffles, cording, accents, bows, ties, the body of the piece itself. Mix and match across the bedding set however you'd like.
ii.
Personalization & monogramsAdd your little one's initials, name, or a meaningful date. Choose your font and thread color. Available on most pieces — toggle the personalization option on the product page or leave a note at checkout.
iii.
Style modificationsPrefer no ruffles for a more tailored, boy-friendly look? Want sweet cording detail added? We can adjust the construction details to suit your nursery's aesthetic.
iv.
Custom orders & C.O.M. (customer's own material)Have a fabric you'd love made into London shades, crib skirts, or other pieces? We can sew with your fabric. Email us with photos, measurements, and quantities and we'll quote your project.
v.
Sizing for non-standard cribsMost of our pieces are made for standard cribs, but we can also make mini crib sizing on request. Just let us know what you need and/or leave us a note at checkout if you want your bedding pieces made in a mini crib size.

Baby Pink
Our most popular pink. Light, soft, and airy — blends beautifully with most other pinks.
Ballet Slipper
A peachy-toned light pink, similar to true ballet slipper shoes.
Sisters Pink
A medium pink — think Easter bunny pink. Sweet and saturated.
Parfait Pink
Bright and cheery. A true bubble gum pink for a playful nursery.
Blush
A darker pink leaning toward a faded cranberry tone — like blush makeup.
Mist
A soft, muted blue-gray. Popular for boy nurseries — leans more green-gray than true blue.
Baby Blue
Sweet, classic, and not too light. A nursery favorite.
Heirloom Blue
Our lightest blue — the softest, most delicate option in the blue family.

How It Works

Add the bedding pieces you love to your cart, just as you would for any order.
ii.
Leave us a note
At checkout, leave a note in the "notes" section letting us know any color changes, custom details, or special requests for your order.
iii.
We sew it your way
We'll pull your note with your order and make every piece exactly to your specifications. Current turnaround is 2 weeks.
Frequently Asked
The questions we hear most.
Is there an upcharge for customization?
Most color changes are completely free of charge. Personalization (monograms and embroidery) is a $30 upcharge per piece. Custom orders using your own fabric or non-standard sizing are quoted on a case-by-case basis — just reach out and we'll let you know.
Will customizing my order delay shipping?
Customizations don't typically affect our standard 2 week turnaround. For larger or more involved custom projects, we'll let you know the timeline before we begin.
Can I see fabric colors before I order?
Yes — we always recommend it! You can order swatches of any of our fabrics so you can see and feel them in your own light before committing to a full set.
What if I forgot to leave a note at checkout?
Not a problem at all. As soon as you realize, just email us at customercare@highcottontextile.com with your order number and the details you'd like, and we'll add it to your order before we begin sewing.
I ordered through the Shop app and didn't see a notes section.
The Shop app's checkout sometimes hides the notes field. If that happens, just email us at customercare@highcottontextile.com with your order number and any customization requests, and we'll take care of it on our end.
I have a custom project that isn't on your site. Can you still help?
We'd love to. Send us photos of what you have in mind, measurements (if applicable), and a description of the project, and we'll let you know if it's something we can take on and what the cost would be.
