A farmhouse crib skirt — also called a crib dust ruffle or crib bed skirt — is our signature silhouette: softly gathered on all four sides, with split corners and a 20-inch drop that reaches the floor without pooling on it. Each one is cut and sewn by hand in our Alabama studio from 100% washed cotton, in every color we carry, for baby girl, baby boy and neutral nurseries. Gathered, ruffled or pleated? All three of our crib skirts hang from the same four-sided deck and cover the same space; the difference is the drape. Farmhouse is softly gathered at a 20-inch drop — the most versatile of the three, and the one that suits a printed fabric as easily as a solid. Ruffled is gathered much fuller at a 22-inch drop, for a softer, more romantic crib. Tailored is cut flat with pleated center panels, which is what a stripe, a check or an evenly spaced dot needs, because gathers break a pattern into a zigzag.

What drop length do you need? Crib mattresses adjust to different heights, so a skirt sized for the lowest setting will pool on the floor at the highest.
