Pairs Well With

Porcelain is the off-white that gets it right — warmer than a true white, cleaner than ivory, and quiet enough to let a beautiful crib be the loveliest thing in the room.

Cut and sewn by hand in our Alabama studio from 100% washed cotton, this tailored crib skirt has a pleated center panel on all four sides and split corners that wrap cleanly around each crib leg. No gathers, no fuss — just a crisp, even line from the mattress deck to the floor that reads soft in a farmhouse nursery and neat in a more traditional one.

Details:

  • Four-sided tailored design with pleated center panels — 20" finished drop
  • Split corners for a clean fit around every crib leg
  • Fits a standard crib mattress; custom lengths available — leave a note at checkout
  • 100% pre-washed cotton in Porcelain, a soft off-white — also sewn in a wide range of solids, checks, and stripes
  • Gender neutral, and just as at home in a boy's room as a girl's
  • Handmade to order in our Alabama studio

Good to Know:

  • Also called a crib dust ruffle or crib bed skirt — same piece, different names
  • Tailored vs. Farmhouse: tailored is flat and pleated for a crisp line, while our farmhouse skirt is gathered all the way around for a softer, fuller look
  • If your crib sits taller or shorter than standard, we sew a custom length — note your measurement at checkout
  • Porcelain reads as a soft off-white in daylight and warms slightly under lamplight, which makes it an easy match for both painted and natural wood cribs

Care: Machine wash cold, tumble dry low, wash separately.

Made to Order: Sewn when you order, in our Alabama studio.

A standard crib mattress is 28" × 52", and our pieces are cut to match it — 52" long rail covers, 28" short rail covers, and fitted sheets sized to that mattress. If your crib takes a standard mattress, no measuring is needed.

Crib skirt drops — farmhouse skirts are 20", ruffled skirts are 22". To find your drop, measure from just under the mattress support straight down toward the floor. Want a different length? Tell us your measurement at checkout and we'll make it to that, at no extra charge.

Rail cover drape — approximately 20" down each side of the rail, inside and out.

Mini cribs — sheets fit a 24" × 38" mattress, and most pieces can be made in mini sizing on request.

Antique, imported, or non-standard crib? Send us your measurements — everything is cut to order.

Every piece is made from 100% cotton sourced from American mills — no synthetic blends, no flame-retardant treatments, no chemical finishes.

Pre-washed before we cut. Every yard is washed and dried in our studio before a single piece is cut, so your bedding arrives already soft and won't shrink on you at home. That relaxed, lived-in texture is the washed cotton at work — and it irons or steams to a crisp finish if you prefer that look.

Washing — machine wash cold on gentle, separately. Skip bleach and fabric softener; both break down natural cotton over time.

Drying — tumble dry on medium, separately. A quick toss in the dryer is the easiest way to release wrinkles between uses.

Ironing — optional, on medium heat. Avoid starch sprays. A handheld steamer works well too.

Every piece is sewn to order in our Alabama studio, so nearly every detail can be changed.

Color changes — swap any color on any product: ruffles, cording, accents, bows, ties, or the body of the piece itself. Mix and match across a set however you like. Most color changes are free of charge.

Monograms and personalization — add initials, a name, or a meaningful date, with your choice of font and thread color. $30 per piece.

Style and sizing — prefer a tailored look without ruffles? Need mini crib sizing? Both are available on request.

How to order: add your pieces to the cart, then leave your requests in the notes field at checkout. Forgot? Email customercare@highcottontextile.com with your order number before we begin sewing.

Not sure about a color? We always recommend ordering swatches first.
