One piece, and the crib stops looking unfinished. A white scalloped rail cover with a gathered heirloom blue ruffle — the smallest change you can make to a nursery that actually changes the room.

The hem dips in four soft curves along the front rail, each edged in blue and tied to the spindles with narrow white ties. A layer of quilt batting inside gives it shape so it sits full rather than flat. It comes off in a minute, washes, and goes back on.

Includes:

  • One white scalloped crib rail cover with heirloom blue ruffle trim, softly filled with quilt batting
  • Sized for the long front top rail of a standard crib
  • White fabric ties for securing to the spindles
  • Optional monogram personalization

Want the whole crib? This rail cover is also available as a two-piece set with the heirloom blue farmhouse crib skirt, or as a three-piece set with the skirt and two large crib bows — every piece cut from the same washed cotton.

Why You'll Love It:

  • 100% washed cotton — machine washable
  • Quilt-batting fill for softness and structure
  • Handmade in small batches in our Alabama studio
  • Coordinates with the rest of our heirloom blue nursery pieces

Fits:

  • Standard and convertible cribs, including Jenny Lind spindle styles
  • Rests over the top rail only — nothing goes inside the crib or against the mattress

Coordinates with:

Good to know:

  • Heirloom blue is a soft, slightly dusty pale blue — not a bright or primary blue.
  • Scalloped, ruffled and simple are our three rail cover hems. This is the scalloped one — curved and dipped rather than straight or gathered.
  • Covers one long rail. For the short end rails or all four, ask and we'll quote it.

Complete the room: matching nursery curtains can be made in this exact fabric and color — choose any curtain style and we'll sew it to match, right down to the ruffle.

Made to Order: Sewn by hand in our Alabama studio and shipped in 3–10 business days.

A standard crib mattress is 28" × 52", and our pieces are cut to match it — 52" long rail covers, 28" short rail covers, and fitted sheets sized to that mattress. If your crib takes a standard mattress, no measuring is needed.

Crib skirt drops — farmhouse skirts are 20", ruffled skirts are 22". To find your drop, measure from just under the mattress support straight down toward the floor. Want a different length? Tell us your measurement at checkout and we'll make it to that, at no extra charge.

Rail cover drape — approximately 20" down each side of the rail, inside and out.

Mini cribs — sheets fit a 24" × 38" mattress, and most pieces can be made in mini sizing on request.

Antique, imported, or non-standard crib? Send us your measurements — everything is cut to order.

Every piece is made from 100% cotton sourced from American mills — no synthetic blends, no flame-retardant treatments, no chemical finishes.

Pre-washed before we cut. Every yard is washed and dried in our studio before a single piece is cut, so your bedding arrives already soft and won't shrink on you at home. That relaxed, lived-in texture is the washed cotton at work — and it irons or steams to a crisp finish if you prefer that look.

Washing — machine wash cold on gentle, separately. Skip bleach and fabric softener; both break down natural cotton over time.

Drying — tumble dry on medium, separately. A quick toss in the dryer is the easiest way to release wrinkles between uses.

Ironing — optional, on medium heat. Avoid starch sprays. A handheld steamer works well too.

Every piece is sewn to order in our Alabama studio, so nearly every detail can be changed.

Color changes — swap any color on any product: ruffles, cording, accents, bows, ties, or the body of the piece itself. Mix and match across a set however you like. Most color changes are free of charge.

Monograms and personalization — add initials, a name, or a meaningful date, with your choice of font and thread color. $30 per piece.

Style and sizing — prefer a tailored look without ruffles? Need mini crib sizing? Both are available on request.

How to order: add your pieces to the cart, then leave your requests in the notes field at checkout. Forgot? Email customercare@highcottontextile.com with your order number before we begin sewing.

Not sure about a color? We always recommend ordering swatches first.
