Back to Pike Road: Find Us at the 60th Annual Pike Road Arts & Crafts Fair

Pike Road Arts & Crafts Fair ยท November 7, 2026 ยท Booth 121

When I was a little girl, the first Saturday in November meant a van packed to the ceiling with my parents' hand-painted Santas and a long, happy day at the Pike Road Arts & Crafts Fair. This year I'm bringing my own boys back to that same fair, along with a whole table of whimsical, folk-style Christmas decor my mom designed and the nursery bedding we're known for. Come see us at Booth 121.

Growing up in a craft show booth

I was born and raised in rural south Alabama, on a farm, with two parents who can make just about anything. My mom, Debbie Park (a lot of y'all know her from Cottage and Cabin Interiors), was a seamstress, and still is, plus a painter, a crafter and a maker of every kind. My dad, Bobby Park, farmed, and when he wasn't farming he was building something in his woodshop. He still is. There truly isn't much those two can't make, build or fix.

So that's how I was raised. Mom and Dad traveled all over to what we just called "craft shows," and Pike Road was one of them. They took Christmas. Dad built wooden Santa Clauses and snowmen, some of them six feet tall, and Mom hand-painted every one in the cutest old-world folk style. There were painted wooden ornaments, and those big collared sweatshirts with painted snowmen and Santas on them. If you were anywhere near Alabama in the '80s and '90s, you remember those. People bought them left and right.

I remember the van packed to the ceiling. I remember getting up super duper early to go set up, and boy oh boy was it a long day. And I remember the best part: walking around to see everybody else's booths, getting lunch and a snack, and just being together on a simple, fun family fall day.

As a child, I didn't think I was noticing all the details. Turns out I was.

Mom always had her booths arranged so cute. I didn't know I was soaking it in, but I was. Those days at Pike Road gave me some of my very best memories, and they did more than that. They taught me what it looks like to make something with your hands and stand behind it. They shaped who I am, and they shaped this business long before it existed.

Thirty-some years later

I started High Cotton Textile on Etsy in 2015, sewing out of one of my boys' bedrooms and cutting fabric at the kitchen table. It grew into our own website, shipping all over the world, and a workshop of its own. (You can read the whole story here.)

Then this past summer I had a bright idea. "Hey, boys, y'all want us to do Pike Road this year?"

My sons, Grayson and Vincent, looked at me like I was a rack of yard tools. Do we want to do what, Mom?!

So I sat them down and told them about getting up before daylight with their Honey and Poppa (that's what all the grandkids call my parents), about the long day, the booths, the lunch, the whole thing. The boys are teenagers now, and they sew right alongside me in the shop, so it only felt right that they'd be the ones beside me in the booth this time. They'll be there on November 7, and I couldn't be prouder.

Why we're coming to Pike Road

Over the years we've sewn for so many families right here in Alabama, and I get emails all the time asking if we have a store you can come shop in. I always have to say no, I'm sorry. We work out of our workshop, and it just isn't set up for shopping (unless you like stepping over bolts of fabric).

So Pike Road is the next best thing. It's one day when you can come see us in person, feel our fabrics, see the colors in real life instead of on a screen, and walk away with your nursery bedding, some Christmas decor for your home, or a custom order on its way to you.

A sneak peek at Mom's whimsical Christmas collection

This is the part I'm most excited about. My mom, my biggest supporter and my inspiration all these years, designed a whole line of what she calls whimsical Christmas decor for the booth. You might call it folk-style Christmas, cottagecore Christmas, or just old-fashioned farmhouse Christmas. It's red gingham and tiny florals, green toile, ticking stripes, folk deer and polka dots, all mixed together the way a real country house looks at Christmastime.

These are Pike Road exclusives. Most of the Christmas pieces below aren't on our website (at least not yet), so the fair is the place to get them. Here are just a few of the things we'll have, and there's more we're saving for the booth.

The red gingham ruffled tree skirt & matching stockings

Red gingham ruffles and bows over the tiniest red floral print. When Mom designed it, she told me it's exactly how she used to dress me when I was a little girl, and you can see it: Hollie Hobbie, Little House on the Prairie, Dolly Parton's Hard Candy Christmas and Coat of Many Colors. The stockings match, in red gingham with a gathered floral ruffle at the cuff and a floral toe.

Patchwork Christmas tree kitchen towels

Little appliqued Christmas trees pieced from scraps of toile, ticking stripe, folk deer and polka dots, sewn onto red, green and striped kitchen towels. Hang one on the oven door, or tuck one in with a tin of cookies for the sweetest hostess gift.

Green toile Christmas napkins

Cloth napkins in solid green and green toile, made for the Christmas table and every Sunday dinner after.

Ruffled toile chair slipcovers

Green toile chair slipcovers with a ruffled skirt and long ties that bow at the back of the chair. They're not padded, just a pretty slipcover that dresses up a plain kitchen or dining chair for the season. If you love the style, our Farmhouse Ruffled Chair Slipcovers are on the website year-round in more than two dozen colors, from buffalo checks to Heirloom Blue.

Throw pillows, mixed and matched

We have lots and lots of pillows, in all sizes and every whimsical print: folk deer, toile, ticking stripe, red and green dots, with ruffles, piping and little bows. Pile them on the sofa and mix them however you like. That's the whole point.

A green dot ottoman slipcover & ruffled totes

A round ottoman slipcover in green and white dot with a little ruffle at the floor, plus ruffled tote bags in red folk deer, lined in green dot. Our ruffled ottoman slipcover is on the website too, sewn to fit any size ottoman in any of our fabrics.

Nursery bedding you can take home that day

Of course we're bringing what we're known for. Normally everything we make is sewn to order after you buy it. At Pike Road, you can carry it to the car that afternoon. All of our main nursery pieces will be there, including lots of our best sellers:

If it isn't on the table, ask. We can order it for you right there and ship it to your door.

What else is there to do at the fair besides shop?

Plenty. There's barbecue, apple dumplings, lemonade, gelato and cotton candy, plus face painting, pony rides and a petting zoo for the kids. There's even a spot for Santa Claus on this year's fair map. Bring the whole family and plan to stay a while.

Will the Christmas decor be sold on your website?

Not yet. For now, the whimsical Christmas pieces my mom designed are Pike Road exclusives, so the fair is the place to get them. If a few are left after the fair, they may find their way onto the website, and our VIP email and text list will be the first to know. So keep checking back!
