Heirloom blue is doing for boy nurseries what ballet slipper pink did for girls. Soft, a little faded, more antique than nautical — the kind of blue that looks like it came out of a cedar chest rather than off a shelf.

Same set our ballet slipper version made a best seller, cut for a boy's room. A full gathered farmhouse skirt that falls to the floor, and two generous sashes you tie yourself — on the crib posts, the curtain rod, the nursery door, wherever the room needs it. All from the same washed cotton, all sewn to order in Alabama.

What's Included

  • (1) four-sided gathered heirloom blue farmhouse crib skirt — 20" drop, fits a standard crib mattress
  • (2) large heirloom blue crib bows — each arrives as a long sash you tie to your preferred size and fullness

Details

  • 100% pre-washed cotton — machine wash cold, tumble dry low
  • Handmade to order in our Alabama studio
  • The skirt sits beneath the mattress and falls outside the crib

Good to know:

  • Heirloom blue is a soft, slightly dusty pale blue — not a bright or primary blue.
  • The bows arrive untied as long sashes, so you decide how full and how long the tails hang.
  • Want the rail covered too? Add the scalloped rail cover in the same blue.

Complete the room: matching nursery curtains can be made in this exact fabric and color — choose any curtain style and we'll sew it to match your bedding, right down to the ruffle.

Made to Order: Sewn by hand in our Alabama studio and shipped in 3–10 business days.

A standard crib mattress is 28" × 52", and our pieces are cut to match it — 52" long rail covers, 28" short rail covers, and fitted sheets sized to that mattress. If your crib takes a standard mattress, no measuring is needed.

Crib skirt drops — farmhouse skirts are 20", ruffled skirts are 22". To find your drop, measure from just under the mattress support straight down toward the floor. Want a different length? Tell us your measurement at checkout and we'll make it to that, at no extra charge.

Rail cover drape — approximately 20" down each side of the rail, inside and out.

Mini cribs — sheets fit a 24" × 38" mattress, and most pieces can be made in mini sizing on request.

Antique, imported, or non-standard crib? Send us your measurements — everything is cut to order.

Every piece is made from 100% cotton sourced from American mills — no synthetic blends, no flame-retardant treatments, no chemical finishes.

Pre-washed before we cut. Every yard is washed and dried in our studio before a single piece is cut, so your bedding arrives already soft and won't shrink on you at home. That relaxed, lived-in texture is the washed cotton at work — and it irons or steams to a crisp finish if you prefer that look.

Washing — machine wash cold on gentle, separately. Skip bleach and fabric softener; both break down natural cotton over time.

Drying — tumble dry on medium, separately. A quick toss in the dryer is the easiest way to release wrinkles between uses.

Ironing — optional, on medium heat. Avoid starch sprays. A handheld steamer works well too.

Every piece is sewn to order in our Alabama studio, so nearly every detail can be changed.

Color changes — swap any color on any product: ruffles, cording, accents, bows, ties, or the body of the piece itself. Mix and match across a set however you like. Most color changes are free of charge.

Monograms and personalization — add initials, a name, or a meaningful date, with your choice of font and thread color. $30 per piece.

Style and sizing — prefer a tailored look without ruffles? Need mini crib sizing? Both are available on request.

How to order: add your pieces to the cart, then leave your requests in the notes field at checkout. Forgot? Email customercare@highcottontextile.com with your order number before we begin sewing.

Not sure about a color? We always recommend ordering swatches first.
